The Law Faculty Office carries out a wide range of tasks. Its main function is to provide support and service, e.g. the preparation/processing of matters for consideration by the Faculty Board, the Research Committee, the Education Committee and the Academic Appointments Board.
The Law Faculty Office also provides some support to the Department of Law regarding educational, financial and personnel matters as well as administrative routines.
The Faculty Office ensures that decisions taken within the University (as well as by the Swedish Government, the Parliament and other public authorities) are communicated and implemented, and that rules and regulations are complied with. In addition, the Faculty Office performs a monitoring function through its follow-up of the activities of the Department of Law, e.g. regarding financial matters.
The Law Faculty Office falls organizationally under the University Administration and thus it also prepares/processes matters for consideration by the Vice-Chancellor and the University Board.
